Decorative Concrete

Less than a hundred years old, the process of decorative concrete staining was first utilized by Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the first architects to begin using decorative concrete throughout his many structures built during the early 1900s.

The use of concrete for countertops is relatively new, originating in California in the mid 1970′s. Today, with technological improvements in mix designs, sealers and fabrication techniques, concrete has become the material of choice by designers, architects and builders across North America looking for non-commoditized eco-friendly alternatives.
